When my dad died my aunt bought tons of food for the memorial service. She got enough cheese trays to feed the entire town, so I got to bring home a couple pounds of cheese cubes. Like Samson, I was comforted. I also got fatter.

I'm hoping that Nate doesn't have a dairy allergy, too. I was a vegetarian for about a year and a half, and I certainly understand the difficulties of getting protein from other sources, as well. I'm just enthralled by the cute pics of Nate.. he gets cuter and cuter every day!

Soy and rice milk has protene in it. You should explore how vegans get protien. That would be a good way to find out what you could replace the dairy with to get protene. I dont eat allot of meat (pretty much none) and did not eat dairy while nursing. I used beans/legums to get protene. But yes cutting the diary out is very hard to get use but so worth it if you have to do it for the baby.

I've never heard of dog cheese. Sounds gross...So did you check on soy milk? That's what Julia drinks...she seems to be alright. I tasted it once, and it tasted like butt to me, but she says there are flavored ones that are better. My kids have had that, and they love it.

You have 2 cute little boys=) I am not a dog lover but you make me like Samson!I hope Nate doens't have a dairy allergy also! It would be hard to eliminate dairy, if you already don't eat meat. A few more months and the things should no longer be a problem! I always looked to 3 months as my happy point! Babies get a bit easier around then!

*LOL*Dog cheese is whatever cheese we have in the refrigerator. Samson goes ballistic for cheese. Mark and I tend to use strange nicknames for just about everything, Nate having about 19 of them already, one of them being “kid cheese”.

Oh yeah, does Nater hate being on his belly as much as every other baby who can't roll over yet? Before you go crazy about that, he will probably scream his little head off every time you make him have tummy time, but, alas its normal and it isn't at all because he is broken or something. NORMAL!

I've been a vegetarian for years too so I see how that would be hard. If that is the case formula would probably be the best choice cuz both mom and baby need to be healthy. Onto other important issues, what on earth is DOG CHEESE? Is this different from people cheese? Hmmm sounds weird, and do they make cat cheese, because I think my kitty would love some.
